Cadets from 272 Wisbech squadron joined other squadrons on Sunday 12th May at the Berlin blockade 70th anniversary at Duxford IWM. They had laid on for them a banquet of food, they could go on VR's and a flight sim whilst music was played by RAF Wyton band, all laid on by the Royal British Legion. At 1330hrs there was a ceremony for the Berlin Blockade in which accounts were given of people that served in the RAF over that time. The last post was played followed by a 2 minute silence when red hearts showered us from above to resemble the red poppy. Cadets handed wreaths to RAF personnel to lay. Prayers and hymns then followed. Following this cadets got the chance to meet and have photos with ex serving and serving officers. They then had the chance to go round the museum for the remainder of the day. I think all the cadets and staff that attended would agree a beautiful ceremony and a great day had by all.
